Young Talents
scholarship

Valuable financial support
for young artists

The bursary was created at the very first edition of the Festival Musique & Vin in 2008, and is made up of a collection of funds raised by the auction held each year at the end of the festival’s closing concert.

To be eligible for this grant, these young people must be enrolled in higher education establishments or courses dedicated to music and recognised in a European or American circuit. The Jeunes Talents scholarship provides solid support for its winners.

It helps them to promote the start of their careers as artists (concerts, records, etc.) so that they can embark on their international careers with greater peace of mind.

Distinguished in their careers, the winners of the Festival Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot are also committed to performing in concerts organized by the festival alongside the greatest artists on the international music circuit.

Among these commitments, a highlight of the festival is dedicated to them: the free Jeunes Talents concert, which opens each edition. Originally held in the Halle de Beaune, since 2023 it has taken place in the courtyard of the Hospices de Beaune. This concert gives scholarship recipients the opportunity to perform alongside renowned musicians, in front of a large audience.

The Musique & Vin team has been committed to supporting and assisting them from the very first edition.

Lauranne Oliva, soprano

At just 20 years of age, the Franco-Catalan soprano Lauranne Oliva made a strong impression at the 2020 ‘Nuits Lyriques’ competition in Marmande, winning the First Prize for Women in the Opera category, the First Prize for Best Newcomer and the Second Prize in French mélodie. Following her studies at the Perpignan Conservatoire in Christian Papis’s class, she was awarded the Prix d’Excellence in May 2021.

In September 2021, she joined the Opéra Studio of the Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg, singing La Princesse in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges. A member of Génération Opéra’s 2022 promotion, she confirmed her rising status in 2023, winning First Prize and Audience Prize at the Paris Opera Competition, as well as First Prize at Voix Nouvelles. She was nominated in the ‘Lyric Revelation’ category at the 2024 Victoires de la Musique Classique.

She soon appeared in concert repertoire and early opera, making notable debuts as La Musica and Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, and Drusilla in L’Incoronazione di Poppea at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

During the 2023/2024 season, she sang Ellen in Lakmé (Nice, Strasbourg), made her debut as Pamina at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and appeared at the Theater an der Wien and the Opéra-Comique in Paris.

The 2024/2025 season marked a decisive expansion of her repertoire, with Dalinda (Ariodante), Aspasia and Ismene (Mitridate), appearances in Händel’s Messiah and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, and her debut at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence in the title role of La Calisto.

In 2025/2026, she will make her debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker and perform roles including Morgana (Alcina), Norina (L’Elisir d’amore), Rozenn (Le Roi d’Ys) and Poppea (Agrippina) in major European houses.
