Musique & Vin
au Clos Vougeot
supports young
musical talent

Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot is an association created in 2008 by Aubert de Villaine and Bernard Hervet. Its founding patrons are Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Faiveley and the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. All our projects are made possible by the commitment of our patrons and partners.

Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot supports young musicians in their studies and professional careers through financial backing and an instrumental fund comprising 29 stringed instruments.

Each edition of the festival brings together Burgundy wine and music lovers in an atmosphere of exchange, friendship and shared passion.
Under the aegis of Franco-American friendship, Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot festival symbolizes the alliance of international artists and Burgundy estates to help young musicians.

Charity evening in New York for the instrumental fund

On October 28, 2025, Friends of Musique & Vin will host a charity concert and dinner in New York in support of the instrumental fund of Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot.

This event, presided over by Yo-Yo Ma, will mark the arrival of a new instrument in the instrumental fund: a cello commissioned from luthier Peter Moes. It will be awarded to a young musician selected during a special audition held on this occasion.

See you next year!

The 17th edition of the festival was a great success, and the 2 Jeunes Talents were dazzled, already aspiring to return to Burgundy. We’re delighted to announce that the dates for the next festival have already been set, from June 20 to 28, 2026!

A look back at the auction for this 17th edition

Thanks to the generosity of donors and wineries, this year’s auction will enable us to fund projects for young musical arfists, in particular the Novo Quartet who will perform at the festival in 2026.

patrons & partners
a loyal commitment

Thanks to the unfailing support of Friends Of Musique & Vin, patrons, Burgundy estates and partners, concerts given by today’s greatest musical figures and the many philanthropic initiatives of Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot aimed at young artists have seen the light of day and continue to develop year after year.

Some are directly involved in the manufacture of instruments bearing the names of Burgundy’s Grands Crus, perpetuating the unique link between music and wine heritage.

Instrumental fund
Exceptional instruments for the musicians of tomorrow

Since its creation, Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot has been committed to supporting young musicians. Through the Instrument Fund, the association finances the purchase and loan of exceptional instruments crafted by the finest luthiers, while also awarding grants to help develop artistic projects.

Today, the fund brings together more than twenty violins, violas and cellos, true companions in the careers of these emerging talents.

Young Talents scholarship
Valuable financial support for young artists

Since 2008, Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot has supported emerging artists at the start of their careers through the Young Talents scholarship, funded by the festival’s auction. Open to musicians from leading European and American institutions, it provides essential support for their first projects and offers them the opportunity to perform alongside world-renowned artists during the Festival.

Each edition opens with the free Young Talents Concert, now held in the courtyard of the Hospices de Beaune.
