The Festival Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot 2021
Being silent beyond our will since June 2019, the Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot Festival is happy to announce it will come back to life from June 22nd to 27th 2021.
The 2021 Festival will be an opportunity to reconnect with its history and values which are, the support to young talents, the quality of the artists who are invited, and the excellence of Burgundy wines.
Since the first edition of the festival in 2008, David Chan, concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera, was our artistic director. His career is progressively heading to orchestra conducting, and he decided to dedicate more time to it.
It is a great pleasure to announce a new artistic direction starting from this 2021 edition : two remarkable artists, Gautier Capuçon and Jean-Yves Thibaudet, both of them faithful to the festival and Burgundy lovers, will be involved with our team in order to push the festival forward. They will develop the support to young musicians, with concerts, young talents bursaries and the instrumental fund.
Thanks to Jean-Yves Thibaudet, living in California, but also to the New York organization Friends of Musique & Vin Inc., we will pay special attention to Franco-American ties that have been always driving us.
After such a period of uncertainty, it is vital to continue the fine adventure of the association between music and wine, saying again our gratitude to the sponsors and wine domains that provide us an unfailing support. Thanks to them, we can look ahead with optimism and confidence.
